Nitrous

a Poem by soma

i swirl,
whisked beneath
diamond marmoris
and cerulean,
a kitestring tug
on my heart.

i float
through scenes of
cumulus and schools
of featherfish—
boundless skywhale
dancing to its
cradlesong.

i swell,
tumbling past
event blue and
starry charcoal—
a satellite at home with
your hadal moonlets—
blinking still: i have
always loved you.
